Freelance Writer

I have always enjoyed writing and many of the jobs that I have done from home have been writing jobs. Most of my work has come from writing articles for a few different companies. I also have written website walkthroughs, website reviews, and blogs for other companies. There are many different freelance writing jobs out there but they are not not always easy to find. Many of my post posts on this subject have been aimed at one particular site. Today's post is just to give you a few other places to look for freelance work.

Just remember if you have to pay the company money to get a writing job then they are not a good company to work for. If you pay a middle man for putting you together with the company, that is acceptable because that is the middle man's job. Just don't pay for the privilage of working, there are many good companies looking for independant contractors to complete work for them without charging any fees.

It Works Two Ways

I've been busy working for other companies that I found on this site. It started out when I bid on a job for them here, then they offered me the job which I completed in a timely manner (an important thing to remember). Afterwards the companies contacted me and asked if I had a way to invoice them (see my blog about the free invoice program). Since I did, I was able to become an independant contractor for them and now I do work on a regular basis without having to bid on jobs and fight for work.
So it works two ways. I can still go back and bid on jobs when I'm looking for a change of pace or if I see another company that I would like to work for on a more permanent basis. I still like this system and I'm really glad that I found it.
